Overview of fuel efficiency and emissions of trucks in Germany

The TRANSfer project presents the study “Fuel efficiency and emissions of trucks in Germany – An Overview”, which analyses and discusses the road freight transport situation with heavy-duty trucks in Germany and considers transport developments and related emissions and energy consumption.
The aim of the study is to illustrate the efforts made in Germany and Europe to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from road freight transport, to highlight German experiences and to outline conditions for successful reductions in air pollution and GHG emissions from increasing road freight transport. The study, commissioned by GIZ, has been prepared by IFEU - the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research
